Artificial Grass Installation High Wycombe – Nursery Play Area

This project for a nursery in High Wycombe was a little different from our usual garden installs. The space behind the nursery’s converted barn buildings was a redundant gravel car park — hard, dusty and no use at all to the children.

The nursery wanted to turn it into a safe, soft outdoor play area that the children could use every day, in all weathers, with none of the mud, puddles or maintenance that natural grass would bring.

We installed 225sqm of our Titanium artificial grass — chosen for its dense, hard-wearing pile that stands up to constant footfall from little feet while still feeling soft and looking realistic. The gravel was stripped and re-graded, and we laid a fully compacted Type 1 MOT and grano dust sub-base with a weed membrane, giving a level, free-draining foundation across the whole area. The grass was then fitted tight to the barn walls and fence lines, leaving no trip hazards or loose edges.

As part of our sustainability promise, 225 trees were planted through our partnership with Ecologi — one for every square metre installed.
