Artificial Grass Installation Crowthorne – Heathermount Drive

This large rear garden at Heathermount Drive in Crowthorne is ringed by mature oaks and Scots pine — beautiful trees, but the natural lawn underneath them never stood a chance. Heavy shade and root competition had left it thin and bare in patches, and by late summer the whole lawn had scorched off to brown, which looked tired against the raised glass-balustrade terrace and the circular paving roundel at the far end of the garden.

The couple wanted a lawn that stayed green and usable all year round, without fighting a losing battle against shade, tree roots and dry summers.

We installed 225sqm of our Titanium artificial grass, chosen for its dense, hard-wearing pile and natural look — and completely unaffected by shade.

The old turf was stripped out and the ground re-graded to an even level, then a compacted Type 1 MOT and grano dust sub-base was laid over a weed membrane. The grass was cut in tight around the tree trunks, the shed base and the paving roundel, with the joins across the full width of the garden made invisible.

As part of our sustainability promise, 225 trees were planted through our partnership with Ecologi — one for every square metre installed.
